Employers forecast an 11 percent rise in benefit costs by 2027 if no changes are made, with even a planned 8.2 percent increase marking the highest since 2003. Nearly two-thirds of employees stuck with low-deductible plans that never offered better value in a major study, with only 23 percent switching after reviewing costs.
